Bachmann's response to the SOTU. Just WOW!

"I never took this as a State of the Union response, necessarily," she said innocently. The title above the text of her speech her office released Tuesday night: "Bachmann's Response to State of the Union.”

Bachmann is more than a little unusual. Her greatest hits are now legendary: Her suggestion that President Obama and the Democrats are "anti-American," her caution that the census could be used to create internment camps, her accusation that Obama is running a "gangster government" and [COLOR="Red"][I]her request that people be "armed and dangerous" to fight climate-change legislation.[/I]

"It is my firm belief that America is under greater attack now . . . than at any time," she warned, voicing "grave doubt" about the nation's survival. She presented a novel view of American history in which the "founders . . . worked tirelessly until slavery was no more." In Bachmann's version, "It didn't matter the color of their skin. . . . Once you got here, we were all the same."

They run on catch phrases, fear, and insults. And they put these cougars up at the front to add some sex appeal. Next year I expect Bachmann to slowly strip off her pant-suit as she delivers her response to the SOTU.

Second, her recent comments about the founding fathers were so wrong I had to wonder if she were a mental patient.

Umm, Michelle--if you weren't a white landed Protestant man, you had no rights, no vote, no nothing. And Washington, Jefferson and many others owned slaves. John Q. Adams was not a founding father. His dad was.

I honestly wouldn't mind them standing up for what they believe in if they weren't so bat-shit crazy and militantly stupid.

The world is soo much more complex than their oversimplified notions can handle.

the tea party is a collection of know-nothings, willfully ignorant and simple. they want their country back, but fail to say from what. they don't want to be taxed, but expect their medicare and social security checks to come in every month, along with police and fire protection and safe roads to travel. these idiots are desperately pining for a theocracy that this country never was. the only reason these idiots have traction is because they are useful idiots for big multinational multibillion dollar corporations they call "small business" because they are owned by one or two people.

Almost every TV network refused to carry the speech, finally answering the question, "How crazy do you have to be these days to not get national TV coverage?" So henceforth, the difference between colorfully opinionated and "Oh my God, we must protect our viewers from this madness!" will be known as "the Bachmann Line."

We can't trust any of them, D's or R's. But these tea party people are picking the worst of the worst to represent them. I mean c'mon, this broad is clueless! Internment camps? The founding fathers were fought slavery?

I've always wanted a third party, but I want one that's in the middle, not on an extreme. One that's stable and not bat-shit crazy.
