Heard steve go Postal (pun intended) on another caller yesterday who said he didn't have anything against Tony Eury, Jr but wanted him fired.

Excellent rant Steve, and I understand where your coming from, its funny listening to these people try to tip toe around the whole "I really like tony, jr but...."
Postman challenged them to find a better crew chief's name to offer up, which got me to thinkin' (a dangerous thing).

How bout Rick Hendrick pull the same manuever DEI tried and switch up crew chiefs. (I know it didnt work out it too well)
Let's do the old switcheroo with Eury and Letarte....that would certainly give us a lot to talk about all winter long...LOL, nuthin better than gettin the Jr. Nation and Gordon lovers and haters all fired up.

Also, if Eury and Letarte suck as much these callers say, let em loose, fire their sorry asses and replace them with some up and comers, then Tony and Steve would be free to work for umm....errr....STEWART and NEWMAN! Hehehehehe

Letarte AND Jeff gordon are having a bad year. They almost won a championship last year and set a record for top tens. (30 I believe). It happens. Give them time they'll be back.
As for Jr and Jr they've worked well together in the past as well.

Maybe Rick should pull a switcheroo. The grass isn't always greener and maybe it will be an eye opening experience for all. Drivers, crew, fans, & owner.

Tony Gibson is going to crew cheif Ryan next year.

I think Letarte is an amasing crew cheif, and would be an awesome fit for Jr. Hes really talkative, arrgresive with changes, arrgresive his encouragement of his driver.

Eury Jr on the other hand. Eury Jr sounds like he would be a great fit for Mark Martin, or someone with that kind of experience.

Everybody gribes about Tony Eury but hardly anyone wants to point fingers at Dale Jr.

I bet Rick gives it another half season then he might make a change.

Maybe, but really? Has his season been that bad? Its been better than his last few at DEI.
They just have to figure out how to be there at the end because they usually kick ass at the start of the race.

How well do we all think Tony and Ryan are going to do next year? I think its like a new kid in a new school trying to just adjust to his new surroundings, but he needs a full fresh start, he needs to have a CC that is not family and someone who can learn to respond to his requests for what the car needs. He needs a Chad like figure, or what Ray was to Jeff, or a Zippy to Smoke. Heck maybe he can channel his thoughts through his sister and she can translate to Eury Jr.

I know but it has not been made "official" yet. Tony still said last night on his show that they have not named a CC yet.

I think Tony will do fine. He is working hard to put together solid staff. I expect a lot of announcements regarding staff after Homestead. Tony has said on his show that you would be surprised by the amount of current crews interested in working for Stewart Haas. I think Ryan will do fine also.

I think they'll make races no problem but putting together decent finishes for first part of the season will be hard.
