OK day 1 with the Altec Lansing BackBeat 903's. I used them at the gym today and they worked out pretty well. Sound was awesome. They did not interefere with me or my workout or cardio, (running on treadmill), whatsoever. One thing I'd like to point out is that they destroyed my iPhone's battery life; I went into the gym with battery at 98% left the gym 1.5 hours later and it was down to 68%. That's pretty significant to me. The determining factor for me will be how long they last before they fail.

I've been waiting for this review.

I have no idea what the IPOD battery is rated at but 30% in one hour is a lot of battery. I figured bluetooth would kill the battery though and I usualy dont' listen for much longer than 1.5 hours on my P3.

The most important thing for me is of course, sound and comfort. According to you they seem to be homeruns in both of those departments.

Do you have anythign else that would harm the battery? High screen brightness, screen on a long time before going off?

Negative on both; I RARELY look at the screen while working out. If I do, it is only to see the name of an unfamiliar song or return a quick text. I have my screen set to shutoff after 30 seconds. I say go for it; They are comfortable and sound PHENOMENAL. My only concern is durability. If they last me 6 months I would be very happy because my wired ones usually last 3-4 months.

Until I purchased the BB's, I had only used BT headset's while driving in the car. I have my iphone sitting in a cradle charging so BT battery drain was never an issue.

Great.

Thank you so much for all of your info on all of this, it is a big help for people like me that are up in the air on the bluetooth phones.
