I haven't been overly impressed with the sound. Much less bass than my other over the ear headphones. This may just take some getting used to but with the lack of bass, it sounds a bit tinny. It may just take getting used to. When my last buds died and I went back to over the ear, I remember thinking they had a lot of bass so I must have adapted to those.
It sounds stupid but there is usually a "burn in" period of about 24 hours. I thought this was a stupid, made up thing by audiophiles but it is actually a real thing. I usually just burn a pair in overnight. They DO sound better after this with more bass, I think.

I also think the human ear notices differences to start with and normalizes the sound as it gets used to it. I think the 'burn in' period may be on the ear not the headphones. But either way, I am not too concerned yet. And worse comes to worse .... I am out $15.

To be honest, I much prefer the way they fit than the actual sound. However, I still think the sound is still pretty good.

Glad you took the dive into the Skullcandy pool. Just remember to register them should you ever need to replace them -- remember, lifetime warranty.

I use Sennheiser PX100 and I think they are outstanding. They run about $40.00 and they sound like they should cost over a $100.00. I can not say enough good things about them. Light weight and great sound. If you like an on the ear style you must try these phones.

I did the warrentee. It has enough caveats though which could allow them not to honour it. But for $15, I can't complain.

Really? I didn't notice that. I just thought that if you damaged them through your own fault, they'd give you 50% off your next purchase. Now, if it's a manufacturer error, they'll replace them for the lifespan of the buds.

You have a copy or link to their warranty policy?

That was essentially it. I saw it on their website. The only catch was that it was their discression whether it was a manufacter's defect or a user defect. They could easily and legally take the position that all defects are by poor use. But for $15 I am hardly worried even if the don't honour their warrentee. I just hope they survive the winter.

All Skullcandy products have a limited manufacturers lifetime warranty in two categories:

Aggressive Listening Discount: All Skullcandy products that fail due to "aggressive listening"--that is, if Skullcandy products fail or break due to a crazy crash on the mountain or a violent head-banging session... or any other reason that is not a product defect, we will still hook you up! Send in whatever remains of your product, and we will send you a coupon good for 50% off any product in our Online Shop.
Defective Product Replacement: We will gladly replace any defective Skullcandy product. Please write a detailed description of the problem below so our team can serve your needs quickly.

ETA: Warranty Information - Skullcandy

See, I figure if your headphones/ear buds aren't in pieces, they'd be hard pressed to say it's anything BUT a manf. defect.

I know I returned a pair of earbuds, no questions asked. I got my replacement that same week. Keep in mind, the $15 earbuds are the cheaper models. If you invest $40 to $50 in the higher end models, that warrantee can be a life saver.

I just searched for Skullcandy Ink'd and this is the model that came up. I just assumed that you were talking about the cheap ones. Although with my track record, I would be reluctant to pay too much more.

Having been looking for something to wear while in the house and not workign out or cutting grass, I've been dying to see how these PX100's are.

Can you tell me about the fit, comfort, sound etc?

I've had these in my "cart" on amazon forever and can never PULL THE TRIGGER!!!

Please give me all the specs.
