Vargas, I have had AWFUL luck with those same exact Sennheisers. They would get all staticy on me after a day or 2. I bought them once and had them replaced 3 times....each pair had the same result. I ended up going the Skullcandy route and so far so good.

For years I used the external ear buds that came with my Lexar .mp3 player (this is like circa 2003). They sounded great, which is rare for stock ear buds. But after 6 years or so of sitting in hot ball sweat in my running shorts pocket, a wire near the plug broke. I replaced them with a pair of Skull Candy Ink'd in-ear buds for $20 from the Radio Shack next to my gym. They sound okay. Better bass response, but I've lost a lot of mids and highs.

I've had pretty good luck with the sennheisers. My first pair lasted about 1.5 years or so and when the sound stopped working in the left earbud, I called them and they did a warranty swap for me. I must say their Customer Service was great as I recieved my warranty pair in less than 5 business days.

This last pair stopped working pretty quickly, I've only had them for a few months. They get double duty as my wife uses them to run and I use them on the treadmill and also outside while cutting grass. I was disappointed to have them break so quickly but another warranty swap is already on the way.

For the price, I can't beat them however more and more people keep telling me about the skullcandy phones so I will try a pair soon. I've learned that you can never have too many pair.

Which skullcandy's do you rock?

I bought the FMJ's and the Titan's. I prefer the FMJ's so far because it has more bass versus the Titan's.

I will keep these in mind. Aren't the FMJ's the "higher end" skullcandy's? I was looking on amazon and they were in the $40-$50 range. That is about as high as I would go.

I am using some cheap $25 WalMart over-the-ear specials. Before that I had some nice WalMart $40 earbuds. But I destroy a pair of headphones about every 4-6 months so I refuse to spend money on them. I am not sure why I have bad luck. I am usually careful about pulling on them by the cord or kinking them. Yet usually I lose the sound in one ear. I also kept losing the plug for the ear. I went threw 2 sets of those before I used my 'backup' headphones (ones I used for work listening when I could get Sirius at work).

I used to prefer over the ear but prefer earbuds now. The OPs look good if they sell in Canada and have a lifetime no hastle warrentee.

EDIT: Appear to be only $15 here at The Source by Circut City up here. I will certainly give them a try.

It's not just you; EVERYONE destroys their earbuds/headsets within "X" number of months. they just aren't built to last and why should they be? The makers KNOW we'll keep buying them.

and a set of the Lowriders...

I really dig the earbuds. They come with different sized "gummies" to fit into your ear. They fit great and sound even better AND come with lifetime warantee.

I had a slight issue with one set of buds and Skullcandy replaced them no questions asked and the process was super easy.

So, what are you guys and gals rockin?
For $15 I have picked up a pair of the Skullcandy Ink'd buds (blue) and will see how they feel tonight on the way home. Cheaper than WalMart. I have been needing an earbud since over the ear stuff doesn't work that well in Canada in the winter.

I tried them at lunch and I like the fit in the ears. I haven't figured out how to tell which bud is left and which is right. Will have to plug them into some thing which has a balance.

I haven't been overly impressed with the sound. Much less bass than my other over the ear headphones. This may just take some getting used to but with the lack of bass, it sounds a bit tinny. It may just take getting used to. When my last buds died and I went back to over the ear, I remember thinking they had a lot of bass so I must have adapted to those.
