Uh-oh---While browsing Engadget today, i saw this post.

I'm going to hold off on any purchase until I see the price of the MM400's.

I really like Sennheiser's quality and tend to default to whatever they've got.

Pricing shoudl be released soon but if it ridiculous, then I"m skipping it. I like the fact that these are bluetooth AND wired.

I've had the same pair of JVC Marsmallows for three years. I've performed preventative maintenance on IBM mainframes the entirety of that duration using my JVC's. Copius amounts of dust 16 hours a days six days a week. $14.99 on Amazon.com in 2006. Great bass, great treble, good midrange, superior durabiltiy.

Looks like this pair has lasted 2 months. I lost one ear tonight. I was grateful that it was not the SL2 with the issue. I will probably just buy another $15 pair and then try to see if they will cover a 2nd pair with the warrentee. It looks like I may have to keep a backup pair to keep rocking.

Skullcandy Lowriders. Looking to upgrade. My skullcandies are broken, had to glue them. So, they are no longer adjustable. They snapped at the top part, in two places. They weren't a bad deal, but I need something stronger.

Audio Technica ATHM-50

Those are mainly for my audio production and DJing work. They sound absolutely amazing. True, unhyped low end response, and the high mid to high frequency drivers are smooth and sexy. They do fine for portable devices soundwise, but sat radio and mp3 players seriously under-power them.

Shure E2C in ears

These were mainly for my commute, which is not as noisy as it used to be now that i'm not using the train. They sound decent, but lack low-mid presence. Lots of outside attenuation, almost to the point of feeling disassociated with the outside world. I much preferred the SCL5s that I used for drum monitors but didnt really feel like spending another $269 for in ears with an automatic frequency deficiency.

I have the Bose earbuds from Best Buy. I think i paid 100 bucks, which is almost equal to the cost of the four sets of the OEM Sirius Stiletto and Sirius S2 headphones i killed. The OEM junk was just that: uncomfortable and cheap. I use the Bose ear buds daily on my commute to and from work. The Bose earbuds came with three different size ear tips, and I can use the small or medium size. I havent had any problems, other than ocassionally losing the ear tips when i dont properly store them and the snag in my purse, car, or whatever. The sound is good, not tinny, there is not noise cancellation, but the ear tip size can help with that. They are on sale for 89.99 at BestBuy.com.

My BF uses the Shure earbuds. i will ask about those, give them a test run against my bose - and hopefully post some more feedback.

Cheers!

On futher investigation: I jinxed myself: the stupid things took a turn for the worse today!!! The wires are apparently disconnecting inside, creating music that sounds like its underwater. Woe is me, time for a new headset, or revert to those which came with my iTouch.
