Google Takes Minimalism To The Extreme With New Fade-In Homepage

I like it but I'm not sure what the point is.

I sure thought I had picked up some malware at first.

Google always has something going on - they just recently made the search box bigger, too. Good or bad, those guys don't just sit around all day doing nothing.

I almost never see the home page. I have Google in my Internet Explorer toolbar, and use it that way. But in regards to the change.... And the point is?

I noticed this about a month ago and it would only happen when I accessed Google in Firefox. IE, Chrome and Opera didn't change. Then it stopped a few weeks ago, and now it's back. Weird.
