That is exactly right, I've never seen so much hate for a product by people that have never one time used it. Well I got an upgrade CD, but I've never installed because of what I've heard about it. HELLO people are morons, I always find out for myself I don't trust what other people say because having worked in tech support for a very short stint, most don't have enough sense to take equipment out of a box and hook it up with colored wires and connectors. LOL Those people are going to tell me not to use Vista! Uh HUH!

Clearly the hope is that a new OS will always be better. For me Vista was better than XP and I suspect that Windows 7 will be the same.

By the way there are people out there still using Windows 95 and Windows 2000. LOL

If you are refering to my posts ... I have used Vista and don't like it. Much prefer XP.

That may be due to the crappy bloatware that is put on by laptop manufacturers more than Vista being slow. It's amazing how much crappy software comes loaded on laptops these days. My Vista PCs are really fast on startup, but one was loaded from scratch by me, and I spent a lot of time stripping out all the crapware on the other one (which I do with new XP systems as well).

At least you tried Vista before concluding that you don't like it!

I also have tried Vista and think it's not as good as XP, sorry. There is simply no reason to move from XP to Vista at this time. UAC is a royal PITA with Vista as well.

UAC made me want to throw my computer out the window when I was setting it up for the first time.

Isn't that the truth... I always clean up my new computers and remove all that worthless crap that HP puts on them. They install so much stuff that runs on start up. Once I removed all that crap the machine booted up very quickly.

I have had no issues with the speed of my Vista machines or the usability of Vista especially after SP1. I personally don't see what there is not to like. I use XM Pro at the office, but certainly don't find it easier to use or more friendly to use by any stretch of the imagination.

Can I install and use the key for W7 on multiple PC's or will it only work on a single PC?

Just do what I did, either stop the bullshit from loading on startup or delete it all together.

I'm 99.99998% certain that you can only activate 1 key per machine. If you need more keys, why don't you just generate another one?

Windows 7 is now officially open to the public, go and grab your copy at:

Download the Windows 7 Beta

Also, Microsoft has decided to hand out unlimited keys (UNTIL JAN. 24), so hurry up and grab yours before it's too late!
