Gregg Allman has recorded and released his first solo disc in 13 years. Low Country Blues on Rounder Records is a step back to his roots with 12 all-blues covers and one original tune. Bill Wax had the chance to sit down with Gregg in his hotel room and talk about the new music as well as what Gregg has been up to over past few years. Hear how the Gregg connected with T-Bone Burnett as his new producer, the story of Gregg and Duane Allman seeing B.B. I missed the Bluesville interview but did listen to some of his concert on Deep Tracks on the way home from work last night. He sang mostly Blues so I wonder what his die hard fans thought of it. He did sing I'm No Angel which was very good.
