Just remember guys that 8GB model isn't the newer version and has the slower processor in it. Only the 32 and 64gb version have the faster processor. I also suspect in September we are going to see them roll out a new batch of iPod Touch's. So, anyone looking to buy that isn't in a hurry may want to wait.

I mostly just got it to 1) XM Skydock and 2) Watch stuff on it while I'm sitting around

I'd like to see a 128GB version (or 160GB) that matches the capacity of my iPod Classic, and gives me all the stuff you can get on an iPod Touch. That may convince me to get a lower capacity iPhone and just use it as a smartphone (what a concept!) and use the iPod Touch for music and other stuff like games.

Ahh yeah you'll be just fine, because I am still using a very, very slow first gen iPod Touch in my vehicle on the Skydock...

I just wanted folks to realize there are newer models and even newer ones on the way in September.

Might be anecdotal, but I've read some stories of older iPod Touches having trouble running iOS4.

My 2nd Gen is definitely more laggy running iOS 4 than it was before the upgrade. Most noticeable is that it takes longer to get the first song going after opening the music player. Other actions like waking from sleep, etc all seem to be a bit slower.

My old 3G iPhone was the same way. Same reason they couldn't add multitasking or the wallpaper because it was too memory intensive.

I honestly don't think they should have allowed the iOS4 upgrade on anything, but the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 32 and 64 bit PERIOD!!!
