Default "If I wanted to hire artie back or..."

Just listening to todays (july 17) show, howard is ranting about sirius again, and I find it intersting that he is finally talking about how sirius seemingly takes away money from THSS when someones contract or position expires or they leave. I wonder if this would be howards excuse as far as bubba and hiring new afternoon talent is concerned..

I kind of believe howard when he says the salary money for these positions 'go away' when the position does, but it seems like Howard could try a little harder and investigate why this happened a and even fight it. But at this point I think he just doesn't want to be bothered. It was nice hearing him complain about it though, almost like he cares or would do something about it...Hearing him mention replacing or bringing back artie was nice too, since these are all subjects he usually treats it as "out of sight, out if mind'..

Thoughts?

If Artie Lange was "subcontracted" through Sirius for THSS, then sure, the money is gone when the talent is gone.

My guess is he was contracted through Howard's production company. The production company is what Sirius "hired" and Howard is simply a contractor through that company.

That's how I work as well. A company hires "my company" and I am a contractor for my own company.

This is probably true but Howard would never admit on air that hes taking a risk by hiring Artie again. I know many of you dont listen to his show but he was arrested in Paris last week while on vacation. Artie will never change and Howard knows this.

Sirius has really changed. Does anyone know if women are still allowed to get naked for Howard tv cause the Sirius execs supposedly banned nudity in studios.

Speaking of Bubba, he brought up the non-situation with SiriusXM today a bit after 11 AM. Tara (his sister), and others have called SiriusXM's customer service and asked about Bubba. The standard line is STILL "We remain in negotiations with Bubba The Love Sponge and hope to bring him back."

First - I think we all know the real deal. However, it isn't beneficial at ALL to say anything different. It's the same with any company and their content.

However - Bubba said today that he'd LOVE to have his censored show live on terrestrial and RadioIO. After that, he'd have his uncensored show and all the other stuff, exactly as it is. The only change would be that the censored show would air in the afternoons on Howard 101, like what we used to have.

I'm sure this next bit is his opinion disguised as fact, but due to the SiriusXM/Howard lawsuit, he was turned down GIVING his terrestrial show to SiriusXM for 100% FREE.

I feel like now that Artie has success through/on another venue, Howard can't just leave him be, and has to make it sound like Artie could return to THSS. There is no logical reason Howard would bring Artie back, and it seems pretty obvious Artie is not clean and sober once again. I'm sure he has something in his contract that states that if he is found to be using, he's terminated, etc., so he's not going to admit it. I'm kind of annoyed Howard said that now.
