I could have sworn they just played the Booey love tape on a best of show the week before.

Last time I heard it (I think) was during HOHS. That would have been winter 2010 (new) and summer 2011 (repeat).

I've heard it since then. I remember hearing it a month or two ago.

I'm probably one of the few that hadn't heard the whole thing before.
It was a good bit, but I wouldn't need to hear it again in the next couple of months.

It was certainly played since then. That I'm sure of. I"m pretty sure it was on 101 during one of the mashups/rewind, or whatever it is called.

That would make sense. I rarely listen to Stern Show Shuffle, and since MarksFriggin doesn't cover it...

I'm guessing that:
1) The tapes team has very little (possibly no) control over SSS, and therefore, it truly is random tapes played.

2) The tapes team does select what "random" tapes to play, but they think of the morning specials and SSS as two entirely different shows. Therefore, it would be possible for something to be played twice with very little time between airings.

I heard it about a month ago but on youtube.
I loved about 3 yrs ago where Howard got pissed at Gary for something and he played the whole thing again but stopping it every once in a while to make fun and pick it apart! It was funnier than the original airing / viewing back in the day to me.

I have only heard the actual show one time, a month or two ago, and thought it was amazing. The crowd's reactions were key.

Indeed. Whoever was the first person to offer money to watch it had a GREAT idea.

My favorite quotes from that tape, although I think at least one of them could have been KC or someone else from the staff:
