I am completely out of the loop when it comes to the Howard channels these days. Did Geek Time bite the dust like 99.9% of all other shows on these channels, or is it still around? I haven't listened since they moved to Fridays, for whatever reason I can't even bother with the replays.

It is still aired on Fridays I think. I know I hear it every week (around 2pm eastern) as I'm in my car.

Airs LIVE at noon on Friday.

I think it also re-runs over the weekend. I've heard it early on Monday mornings on H101 (before the West Coast feed starts).

Replay Friday at 5 PM ET
Replay Saturday at 2 PM ET
Replay Sunday at 5 PM ET
Replay Monday at 7 AM ET


In other words, if you want to listen live, it's Friday at noon ET on Howard 101. If you used to listen on Saturdays at 2 PM, you still have that option.

They need to release these as Podcasts. I can see how the exclusive-ness for H101 would be desirable, but give them a 2 week delay or something. There are weeks that I'm unable to catch it, and miss the replays, too. Since at that point they are pretty much lost to eternity - untill we get "Best of Geektime" - why not put them out there to allow subscribers to catch up, and maybe generate some interest among non-subscibers in the product?

I head a little bit on Friday--I do like this show.

But the bombshell was that they are going to have Michael C Hall on? DEXTER?? Being a HUGE Dexter fan, I was really excited to hear this.

I listened to Geek Time, for the first time on Friday and the information they provided on the show seemed kinda interesting. I'll probably tune in more often.

I wouldn't expect a podcast before a THSS podcast is available, which will be NEVER. I just don't see Howard approving of a format he hasn't exploited (in a good way) himself. Plus, Howard has constantly crowed (caw! caw! caw!) that he barely knows what a podcast is, he doesn't see how they can make any money, and therefore, he shuns them. Podcasts would be a great thing to retain and perhaps attract some new listeners, but when you've already received your money as Howard has, he will not try something new and modern at his advanced age unless he can make several million off of it.
