well they can't air it on friday mornings. I mean they gotta have two channels playing the best of the 3 day week that was replayed throughout the week for the other 4 days.

Jay Thomas is live on Howard 101 from 7 AM to 10 AM ET. There hasn't been a Friday morning west coast feed since Bubba originally had that slot back in 2007 or 2008.

Thanks for this, I had no idea the show was still on Sat. at 2pm, which was never convenient, but more so than Fri. at noon.

I honestly think they do not care ONE BIT if anyone is listening. They get paid either way. They do it so it can rerun and then just say "What do you mean it's not convenient, we rerun it all the time! What do you do for a living??!?"

You're probably right they don't seem to care what time its on because I can't think of one good reason to start it at noon. I'm not in the radio business but I'm assuming that Friday at noon isn't a time when you'd have a lot of listeners.

Generally, the two dayparts that have the most radio listeners are 6-9am and 4-6pm. I'm sure the only reason Geektime is on at noon is because they wanted to air it after Jay Thomas. While it's not an ideal time for attracting listeners, the noon start-time probably works in their favor when it comes to booking guests. It's midday on the East Coast and mid-morning in California so there are probably more people who would consider making themselves available at that time than if it were earlier.

Doesn't Jay Thomas end at 10:00 am? I don't listen to him but I always thought it was 6-10am?

So it ends at 10 then I don't see why they can't start Geek time at 10 right when Jay finishes. You'd probably get a few more listeners then. There would be less people out on their lucnh breaks?
