I defy anyone to show clearcut evidence of distorted reporting on a regular basis. The Times knows it is expected to print the truth and bends over backwards to do so and to literally be "fair and balanced". There is one journalist whose entire job is to independently evaluate Times reporting to insure that it is not biased. Editorials are a different matter, of course. They and op-ed pieces are opinion and presented as such. However, the New York Post, my guilty pleasure, mixes its hard right editorial beliefs with reporting and headlines on a regular basis.

i pretty much agree 100% growing up my father would always get the ny times along with the philly paper. i check the website daily. not looking forward to them going to a pay site pretty soon but i may fork over the cash for it. probably not though. the times is still one of the best news outlets around.
