Default Howard and the new york times

Is this the only thing he reads? Doesnt he know.that all newspapers r just yesterdays news?

Im probably just nitpicking but i get tired of hearing about the awesomeness of the ny times.

howard only knows two worlds. the hamptons and manhattan. he's really in a small bubble.

sometimes I can't stand his elitist manhattan attitude.

The New York Times is awesome. I have read the leading newspapers in Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and Washington, DC. Except for the Washington Post, they all seem like local papers. And the Washinton Post is much more limited in terms of coverage. The Times is the "paper of record". It is constantly accused of being "liberal" and distorting the news. I defy anyone to show clearcut evidence of distorted reporting on a regular basis. The Times knows it is expected to print the truth and bends over backwards to do so and to literally be "fair and balanced". There is one journalist whose entire job is to independently evaluate Times reporting to insure that it is not biased. Editorials are a different matter, of course. They and op-ed pieces are opinion and presented as such. However, the New York Post, my guilty pleasure, mixes its hard right editorial beliefs with reporting and headlines on a regular basis.

I knew about the NY Times Online going to pay soon but I *assume* the Twitter Feed will remain?

i pretty much agree 100% growing up my father would always get the ny times along with the philly paper. i check the website daily. not looking forward to them going to a pay site pretty soon but i may fork over the cash for it. probably not though. the times is still one of the best news outlets around.

He has to read The Times or he couldn't have a conversation with his father.
