I think that it was actually on the 16th but they kinda/sorta celebrated it yesterday. Anyone here been listening to them that long?

Sirius Speedway has been around that long. They used to focus on all forms or racing, not just NASCAR. :yesshake:
sirius speedway hasn't been around for 16 years. i could be wrong, but moody hasn't even been with mrn for 16 years.

This show has only ever been on SIRIUS. It was never on XM. The NASCAR channel was on XM 144 before moving to SIRIUS. At that point the SIRIUS SPEEDWAY show became strictly NASCAR related. Many long time listeners to SIRIUS SPEEDWAY didn't care for that to much at first because they were used to getting news on other forms of racing. :yesshake:

SIRIUS SPEEDWAY begin broadcasting on SIRIUS the day following Matt Kenseth's Cup Series Championship which was the 16th of November that year. :yesshake: 2003

No big deal, they have said some things that made me think they were FM long before they came to sirius. Hell I had XM and didnt know they were there!

It seems like a long time ago now so I don't remember all of the shows but.......
XM144 had an afternoon show hosted by Claire B. called 'Dialed In'. I no longer have XM but I know that she still has some sort of show on there.
XM144 had another call in show but I don't recall the hosts name. Perhaps 'LateShift'. I think something like that. Joe Castello was his name, maybe?
XM144 had other shows that they played at night that I think had some sort of MRN related background.
Most of the rest of the time they replayed old races. When the NASCAR channel moved from XM to SIRIUS, just a couple of seasons ago, many people migrated to SIRIUS, including myself. IMO the NASCAR channel that was on XM144 was not nearly as good as it is today. There was not much in the way of live programming. There were no driver channels. I just wish that there was some way to get this channel on the internet!
