So does anyone know any programs on the net, that you can download for free or pay. Or I can find some kind of converter in the stores, where I can hook it up to my computer?

The Digital Millenium Copyright Act makes it illegal to bypass the copy protection on DVDs. A bunch of the $2 you pay Wal-mart is going to the rights holders of the movies they can "convert". (They don't really convert the movies, they just sell you a streaming license.)
There may or may not be programs that can help you bypass DVD copy protection, but even mentioning their names could be a violation of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
