Smells too much like the Top Dog program which we constantly got chastised about on SBS. It seemed that a lot of you felt like it was not fair to recognize someone in such a manner. But I agree with Aaron. Go for it, but it won't be officially driven by the moderation or admin team on DRC.

No no. I was really trying to avoid that.

What happened was I was trying to figure out some sort of poster loyalty program after the exchange some of us had in the Sirius portable subforum with a new poster.

Cpt Badmotherfarker, IdRatherBeSkiing, Aaron and I were trying to give a hand to a new poster despite a bad attitude. I thought Cpt and IdRatherBe did a good job talking with him and thought it should have been recognized.

Anyway, this idea probably won't pan out. Thanks for playing!

I liked the "top dog" labels. To me, it let people know when they first visit the site that the advice from that person might be more credible than from others.

Seriously, I don't think it's a bad idea.
I saw the thread that you are talking about.
I think that something along the lines of the Top Dog idea might be a little better.
It could be something given by the mods to a member who's proven themselves over time as a "good citizen" and, as CPT BMF mentioned above, tells others that this particular person might have some credibility.
