I've heard that some shows run a few minutes over into the next show and DVR's are cutting off the shows you're recording

What about this? Apple - iTunes - What's on - Discover music, movies, and more.

Seems real to me

That's the only way I can watch Man Men. I buy the season pass off iTunes

I think you can watch True Blood that way, too, but I'll just wait until it comes out on DVD next April

That sucks. I get it from AMC in HD on my cable (Comcast). They have it on demand, too.

The networks do screw with start/end times to frustrate DVR users.
They also change up the spot lengths and placements.
You also will notice more banner ads during shows and product placement.
Some of those banner ads (like on TBS) are animated and can take up half the screen. Very annoying.

I got pissed off at one of them and went to their website looking for an email address to complain about it. They have a special place for people to log complaints about those flarpin banner adds! So they know they are pissing people off, and enough of them that they had to try to get all of the complaints in the same spot. I got a nice automated response email. I'm sure the complaint went right into the deleted files folder.

I changed the channel the damn thing pissed me off so much, and I'll do it again.

Yaaarrrrrppp!
