Default Logitech Revue...Google TV device now $99

It sounds like a good deal, but it's more than likely too little too late.

Logitech officially drops Revue price to $99 today, clarifies 'more returns than sales' remark -- Engadget

I've read that Google TV is failing miserably. Sales are way down.

Content providers found it too easy to block. If you want to watch the web on your TV, buy a Dell Zino.

it looked like a good idea but poorly executed. the only good things about "failures" like this is that they all help us get to a point in the near future where your standard cable box gives you access to everything you want. one day it will not matter and you probably wont know or care about the mechanism bringing content to your house. it'll all just be there for you to select and enjoy on your own schedule.

Same thing could have been said about the original Apple TV. They learned their lesson and now at $99 those things are selling really well.

I love my Zino. It has Blu Ray, a huge hard drive and I can do anything I want with it. Plus its so nice having Windows 7 on it. It makes a great OTA DVR. I love the size of it too. It's the perfect HTPC because it has it all. I will always owe you one membag for helping me decide to get the Zino.

Apple didn't just lower the price, though, they redesigned the hardware and re-thought their strategy.

Google might do that, or they might just abandon the concept. They've shown they are willing to do that where others aren't.
