Default Any techies here?

I have an LG Optimus S and there are times that it will read my card and other times that it doesn't. Like right now, it isn't reading all the applications on the card, but there are some that are being shown.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Bad card or bad phone. Swap card to find out.

The pc reads it just fine. Am I safe to assume that the card is good?

Maybe. Does the phone read other cards of the same speed?

Could it be a connection problem with the phone?

Is the phone in relatively clean condition? No dust in the card reader? Just a little bit of dust can wreak havoc with any type of electronics.

Depends on the sensitivity of your PC card reader. If your phone is more sensitive, a card may not work there which works on your PC.

I find this whole technology to be flakey as hell. In theory, it should be very easy. But I have never had a card work 100% in all devices.

I'm not sure. I just got the one that came with the phone which was a 2g and the other one is a 4g.

I unmounted the card and pulled it out the other day and put it back in and it read it just fine.

Last night the phone disconnected me from a phone call and locked up. I pulled the battery out and put it back in and now its back to not reading the card.

What I was leaning on, but its been a pretty good phone so far and would hate to take it back and end up getting one that might be worse.
